Hypnotherapist
/ Hypno-analyst Counsellor – Patricia Holden
What is Hypnotherapy?
It can be described as your own personal journey to understanding
and overcoming the difficulties and conflicts in your life.
There is also wider long term gains to be made, such as greater
self-awareness and the discovery of positive and creative
forces within yourself. Hypnotherpy is now recognised as one
of the safest techniques to channel the power of your subconscious
mind into change, health and well-being.
What is suggestion
therapy?
It is used to produce a change in specific behaviours
such as in smoking, slimming, nail biting, pretest nerves,
relaxation and confidence boosting. Suggestion therapy requires
1 – 3 one hour sessions.
What is the hypnotic
state?
Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness – a state
of deep relaxation and concentration on internal rather than
external stimuli. Most of us experience this several times
a day without consciously realising it. Entering this state
with a qualified practitioner is safe and beneficial. It is
a path to our emotions, past events, that have been suppressed
by the conscious mind., The subconscious can access facts,
information, causes of feelings, behaviours and attitudes.
It helps you to take control and deal with the unconscious
causes and effects.
