What is Reiki?

It is a form of natural healing, channelling into the body the vital life force we need for a healthy existence., It has long been understood that an energy balance is important for a healthy life and it is also now well understood that our physical, emotional and spiritual well being are dependant upon this balance.

Reiki is a Japanese word, Rei meaning Universal or Spirit of God and Ki meaning Life Force or Energy, hence Reiki is a free flow of the Universal Energy. Nearly every known culture in the world has a healing practised based upon this life force.

For thousands of years it was believed that only certain individuals could channel and use this life force energy. However in the mid 19th century a Japanese physician, Dr Mikao Usui discovered that he could not only harness this energy but also teach other how to use it.

Weather you are on a path of spiritual enlightenment, wanting to heal a sports injury, or are clearing mental and emotional turbulence, reiki will assist your growth and recovery.
